In 2017, German-American entrepreneur Kristina Roth acquired SuperShe Island, an 8.4-acre private island in the middle of the Baltic Sea near Raseborg, Finland.
Originally, this piece of land was sold as a holiday destination exclusively for women, according to the Ça m'intéresse website. For Kristina Roth , the idea was to offer women a holiday destination where they could concentrate on themselves, free from male distractions, recharge their batteries and shed the weight of certain (sometimes unconscious) injunctions. In fact, according to the creator of the place , even in spaces entirely devoted to well-being, women continue to be influenced by the presence of men, encouraging them to pay more attention to their appearance than to their own relaxation.
Wellness activities
Once they arrived at SuperShe Island , the cowgirls were able to take advantage of activities dedicated to well-being and centred on nature. A variety of programmes were on offer, including mediation and yoga sessions, as well as outdoor activities such as hiking and kayaking. The accommodation consisted of four Scandinavian-designed cabins, each equipped with modern conveniences, reports Ça m'intéresse. The cabins were designed to accommodate around ten guests, making for a more intimate and personalised experience. Finnish saunas, a private beach, a 70m2 yurt for yoga and another for spa treatments also added to the unique atmosphere.
For the modest sum of...
A stay on SuperShe Island? The selection process was extremely rigorous. Participants had to be driven by a specific set of aspirations and values. Once selected, they could then book a week's stay on SuperShe Island, for a total of 4,600 euros (including meals, access to facilities and accommodation).
Supershe Island was taken over in 2023 by Deyan Mihov, a businessman in the shipping sector, who no longer offers these services.
